Wow, I would have screamed as well, lol. Well done to the author, the essence of my being was a very well written kindle book and certainly refreshing for a change, you almost feel her characters living and breathing. I personally can not wait for more kindle books to follow and although the kindle book is focused on young adults I am chuffed to say that at 31 I was spellbound! Hopefully I wont have to wait long to read more...

I really enjoyed this kindle book.
One of the things that really got me hooked was the fact it wasn't another high school vampire kindle book. Don't get me wrong, I love vampire kindle books, but this one offered something a lot different, it still has immortal beings and other urban fantasy stuff but if you want something a little bit different that will draw you into a modern immortal world then this is definately the kindle book for you. I think what D.yoda has written in their review sums it all up without giving too much away.

(The Essence Of MY Being) is Jean Price's breakout novel. This is a wonderful story about the coming of age but with a twist. Her main character is an elf. I don't want to give away the storyline so let it suffice to say I was pleased with the product. This novel is a perfect read for children 12-14 years of age. I think there is definite appeal within the pages for young girls looking for a heroine to cheer on. Jean has done a really great job creating characters with whom we can laugh and cry so if you're looking for that perfect gift for a younger reader...this is it.
